PRAGUE CASTLE PICTURE GALLERY – Guide to the exhibition

In 1998 we published, as part of the Small Series Prague Castle Bibliotheca, a booklet explaining the development of the premises which now house the Picture Gallery and describing the history of the art collections. An essential part of the brochure is devoted to a practical guide with brief descriptions of each of the paintings and with coloured reproductions of the most significant ones.

This booklet exists in an English version entitled PRAGUE CASTLE GALLERY - A Guide to the Collection. This booklet is also available at the cash desk situated at the entrance to the PictureGallery as well as at other sales points within the precincts of Prague Castle.

IMPERIAL PAINTINGS FROM PRAGUE CASTLE

When the art collection from Prague Castle was on loan to the Maastricht Gallery the publishing House LUDION issued a lavishly designed publication in English including an introduction by Dr. Eliska Fucikova and sixty-five top quality coloured reproductions. The Prague Castle administration purchased part of this edition of this quite exceptional catalogue to offer to its visitors. Again this catalogue is available at the cash desk selling entrance tickets.
